I'll have to look into those KTL's then. Thanks for the good tip.

Here are the specs for both Access 3's and 5's:

   Hope this helps.

Alain

Keith was out sick today... still waiting on dimensions for the new AC5JA21 Jumbo Acoustic.

Pardon my ignorance, but is the OLF "SJ" a "Small Jumbo" or a "Super Jumbo"?

When I gave Keith the dimensions for my custom body size (just over 16" lower bout, 12-1/4" upper bout, 10-3/4" waist), his hunch was that it would fit the new AC5JA21 Jumbo Acoustic case. What are the OLF SJ dimensions?

Dennis

Well, just to throw in another option, I buy my TKL cases from Jones-Fletcher Music. They carry the entire TKL line, which is a whale of a lot of different case sizes and styles. Something for just about everything. They have a very generous discount program, with the best deal at buying 12 cases at a time. These can be assorted styles so long as your order consists of whole boxes which are normally 4 cases. So you can order 3 full boxes of different style cases and get the per/12 price. Their phone number is 800-510-0605 or 508-862-2502. They ship out of Massachusetts and send everything COD. Minimum order is 2 cases.

Access Stage 5 new AC5JA21 Jumbo Acoustic case:

Here's a diagram Kevin just sent me (Keith is not only still sick, he's hospitalized.) Keith had told me the expected ETA on these new cases is "end of June, '06", but Kevin said he does not have an ETA yet.

Every single guitar that I have ever made will fit into this case! (Oh yeah, I've only made one guitar... Hey, will the OLF SJ fit in this?)

Anyway, thought I'd post this:
Hey, will the OLF SJ fit in this?

Dennis
The dims on the OLF SJ are
19 15/16 length
15 1/2" lower bout
11 5/8" upper bout
9 3/4" waist valley to waist valley
4 1/2" major depth
3 7/8 minor depth
41" + or - total length
the OLF SJ is a scaled down body shape of the guitar that fits this case.

This case will swallow the OLF SJ and eat it whole . This is a full Gibson "J" series case

Just in case anyone wants to know the OLF SJ will fit in the small body Stage 5 but will compress the padding a 1/4" to the side and the optional heel insert will need removed to provide the 5/16" extra length over an OM that the cse is really designed for.

Just a little note to let you guys know I've received my Access 3 cases. Beautiful stuff. Superb quality for the price. I can't figure out how they can make money off these things. I highly recommend the Access 3 to anyone looking for a good quality, but affordable case.

Heck for just couple finns more you get the stage 5 to me this is the best value. 5 ply vs 3 ply, valour vs plush interior, 7/8" vs 1/2" padding, hand stiched handle. heel and peghead support thicker outer covering. That is not at all knocking the stage 3 it is a very good case.MichaelP38859.6022222222

I know Michael, those are the ones I really wanted, but unfortunately, my guitar is 12.125 at the upper bout at exactly 16.0 lower bout... I french polish and I was afraid that would be too tight a fit in the Stage 5...    The SJ will fit the bill perfectly though
